Twelve cars embarked on a remarkable driving trip through Iceland in the height of Icelandic summer, beginning with a visit to the famous DC-3 plane wreck on Sólheimasandur beach. The group were the first to ever dine on Vatnajökull Glacier, the largest in Europe. Here, surrounded by the breathtaking ice formations and the serene silence of the glacier, the live cooking chef highlighted local Icelandic cuisine with some of the best fish and lamb you have tasted.
As the group drove further north, the landscape transformed into verdant fields and rugged mountains, staying in some of Iceland’s most extraordinary lodges, nestled in the remote, far northern regions. Each lodge offered stunning views, from serene fjords to dramatic volcanic landscapes, providing a perfect blend of luxury and nature. The long summer days, with nearly 24 hours of daylight, allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the beauty of Iceland’s wild and untouched northern territories. This trip was a perfect mix of adventure, natural beauty, and unique experiences that showcased the best of Iceland’s diverse landscapes.
